The WAC is made up of area residents who are artists, writers, and supporters of the arts. Its mission is to support local artists and to promote the unique character of Winterville through engagement with the arts.

 

Current activities include:

• Meetings monthly on the second Thursday of each month from 6-7PM at the Winterville Cultural Center. We welcome new members- no fee to join.

• Kids' Art at the Marigold Market the first Saturday of every month (during market season)

• “Vino and Van Gogh” paint and sip events every February and September at the Winterville Cultural Center.

• Two Summer Art Camp sessions for children ages elementary-middle school each June. Family discounts available for multiple children attending.

• Art receptions for the Winterville Cultural Center Gallery.

• Treats Off The Trail every Halloween.

• Marigold Festival Parade, the Athens Christmas Parade and Winterville Charter Day.

• Fund improvements at the Winterville Cultural Center.

• Keeps the community updated on upcoming events through our various social media platforms and the Winterville Gazette.

• WAC members offer art classes through the Winterville Cultural Center.
